Master Dou Wanchun, direct disciple #81 of Grandmaster Chan Kowk Wai, began training in 1976 in Beishaolin Quanmen and associated styles of Grandmaster Chan Kowk Wai, the inheritor of Beishaolin Quanmen and one line of Xiongsheng Cailifopai.

Master Dou won at many Martial Arts tournaments in the 1970s and 1980s. He is a specialist in sparring and forms performance.

From 1979-1986 Master Dou helped teach at the Taiji Health Academy and opened the Chinese Martial Arts Association at Bowling Green State University which ran from 1980-1989. In the period of 1986-1988 he taught at the Toledo Hospital and in 1989 opened the "Beishaolin Health Academy" which had a recent name change to the "Academy of Sino-American Wu Shu" and is still operational in Los Angeles. In 1998 Master Dou co-founded with two classmates the Chan Kowk Wai International Association and is now in full control under the directorship of GM Chan.

Master Dou Wanchun has conducted in depth studies into the actual workings of Qigong and energetic massage for many years and performs recuperative and generative massage under the auspices of his teacher.

Master Dou has been in VIP Magazine with GM Chan, on SportsTV with GM Chan, in the video "Kungfu, Shaolin do Norte" with GM Chan, and will soon be in a movie dedicated to the life of GM Chan.

Master Dou has students in Argentina, Brasil, Canada, Czech Republic and in various cities throughout the USA. He is currently writing books dedicated to Beishaolin Quanmen and related styles.
